THE WEATHER.

Dominion Meteorologist. An intense anti-cyclone moved on to the Dominion on Saturday night, and has been centred to-day off the East Coast of the South Island. Pressure is still low over south-eastern Australia. Expect light to mderate south-easterly winds, backing soon to north-east and north, and freshening. Seas generally smooth to moderate, but later considerable swell on the East Coast. Weather fair to fine generally at first, but gradually becoming cloudy, misty, and showers developing soon in the far north and south. Cold to-night, but milder to-morrow.
