At Newlands, the Marylebone cricketers commenced the final fixture of the tour, against the Western Province, whose steady bowling and excellent fielding was responsible for the visitors scoring only 254, of which Tate (115 not out) and Hendren, made 176. CHRISTCHURCH CHAMPIONSHIP. By Telegraph—Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, March 8. The final round of the cricket competition commenced yesterday. Riccarton made 328 (Roberts 217) against Old Boys. Lancaster Park made 241 (Yates 72) against West Christchurch. Old Collegians scored 258 (Lester 69) against St. Albans 1 for 18. East Christchurch made 252 (Mullan 81, Woods not out 58) against Sydenham 0 for 18.
