A deduction of 2b per cent, from all earnings, with a further deduction of 2£ per cent., in respect to all earnings exceeding 40/- per week have been recommended by the Railway Wages’ Board, affecting half a million workers will come into operation on March 28, also power to reduce overtime rates. An official of the Railway Federation (Mr Cramp), states that the wages' award will be accepted, as an alternative to a disastrous dispute.
