It was decided to write thanking the Band for their kind offer. It was decided to authorise the secretary to draw up a new guarantor to the Bank, owing to the resignation of a member, whose position on the list was filled by a committeeman. Mr H. The secretary reported having applied to the Waimate Retailers’ Association to close their business premises at 11 a.m. on the day of the jubilee meeting.—No reply had so far been received. Mr Dench, reporting for the Ground Committee, said that the course and appointments were at present looking well, and in fact were in better order than had been the case in many previous years. The tracks were in such good order that no outside labour would be necessary to have anything ship-shape for the meeting, a condition which reflected great credit on the caretaker.—The report was adopted.
