Mr Davidson (State Minister of Public Works) has been successful in his quest designed to locate those men in the Government employment who formerly worked as volunteers in the Rothbury colliery. He sacked the whole lot, numbering 110. The Minister points out that the Government will not tolerate men of their type on Government jobs. Mr Davidson has since received a letter from one of the dismissed men, threatening to riddle him with bullets.
