THE WEATHER.
Dominion Meteorologist. A depression passed to the east of New Zealand during Wednesday night, and an anti-cylone has been crossing to-day, with its centre to north. Another depression of considerable intensity is now moving over the Tasman Sea. Expect winds light to variable, but soon tending to northerlies and freshening again. Seas smooth to moderate, but considerable swell setting in on the West Coast. Increasing west to north winds in the Eastern Tasman Sea, with moderate but rising seas. Weather fair to fine generally at first, but cloud and haze in western districts, with rain gradually developing; temperatures rising.
