CALEDONIAN SOCIETY. At a meeting of the Pleasant Point Caledonian Society, the directors present were—Messrs Blissett, Crawford, Halstead, Struthers. Murphy. Maze. Simmons and Mclntosh. Apologies were received from Messrs Wooffidin, Arnott and Kelliher. A small loss was reported in connection with last year's sports, due principally to fewer entries being received. The Society, through Mr H. Wooffindin’s valued services had to be congratulated in still holding a large membership. SCHOOL GAMES. Teams from the primary department of the Geraldine District High School visited Pleasant Point and contested games of basketball and football against the home school teams. Geraldine won the B grade basketball, and Pleasant Point were successful in the A grade. The football match resulted in a win for Pleasant Point by 9 to nil. MINIATURE RIFLE CLUB. The weekly shoot of the above Club held on Monday night, was well attended, when the 4th round of the “Herald” Shield competition was fired. This week’s trophy and tl>e Bowman weekly button were won by C. Gould, while P. Simmons was only one point behind. Scores off the rifle were: C. Gould 80, 9, 79, 80; W. T. Taylor 80. 79; R.
