OBITUARY.
FUNERAL OF MR PROUSE. By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, August 6. The funeral of the late Mr John Prouse took place this morning. It was private, but previous to its taking place a memorial service was held in St. Paul’s pro-Cathedral, at which many were present, including representatives of all musical organisations. The full choir, of which Mr Prouse had been a member for several years, rendered appropriate music, with Mr Parker at the organ. Canon James conducted the service and the Bishop was present.
