BOARD CLIMBS DOWN

BAN ON FILM REMOVED. By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, Aug. 4. The censor’s ban on the film, “All Quiet on the Western Front,” has b.een removed. This decision was arrived at to-day by an Appeal Board which recently upheld the ruling of the Government film censor, Mr W. A. Tanner, but which, after reviewing the picture, decided that it might be screened when certain excisions had. been made. The Board consists of Mr H. M. Gore (chairman), Mrs K. Preston and Mrs E. J. Righton. The report is being submitted to the Government by the chairman.
