TRAM BLOWN UP.
POLICE SUSPECT PLOT. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, August 4. What the police think was an attempt to blow up a tram occurred at Manly. The vehicle made contact with three huge chunks of gelignite. The whole district was disturbed by a deafening explosion. Passengers were thrown into a state of panic. The tram was badly damaged but no one was injured.
