holding a pocket torch in her teeth, having lost her headlight in a collision with a runaway motor car. careering backwards down a mountain pass, Miss Marjorie Cottle completed the international motor cycle test, not losing a mark, and won the highest award, a gold medal. An Italian trio of men, riding magnificently completed, over 1000 miles on the Alpine roads in scheduled time and won the international trophy. Britain, France and Belgium each lost a member of the team.
