BERI CUP MATCH TO-DAY. The annual match for the Beri Cup between the winners and runners-up in the Skinner Cup competition, will take place on Fraser Park this afternoon. The contestants will be Old Boys and Temuka, who met a fortnight ago in the final of the Skinner Cup. On that occasion Old Boys gave a splendid exhibition, the forwards dominating play in the line-outs and in the loose, while the backs threw the ball about in a convincing .manner. To-day they again have a very strong team, and a repetition of the form shown in the final match of the senior competition should find them very hard to beat. The form shown by Temuka in the last game played was not up to the standard of some of their displays earlier in the season, and if they can reproduce their best form to-day the issue should be much closer than was previously the case. The senior game will commence at 3 o’clock, but at 1.30 High School and Star thirds will try conclusions. On No. 2 ground at 1.45, Star A and Old Boys juniors will meet, while on the same ground at 2.45, Old Boys and Temuka fourths will try conclusions.
WAIHI The following will represent Waihi v. Pareora, at Anzac Reserve —Scott, O’Neill (2), Johnson, Stapleton, Cain, Thompson, Henderson, South (3), Hewson, Townley, Maitland (2), Patrick, Palmer, Moore, Earle. (Bus leaves Langford’s Corner, at 1.30).
