SUNDAY SERVICES. The Rev. J. Hay will celebrate Holy I Communion at Kingsdown at 9.30 a.m. j to-morrow; and there will be Evensong at Otipua at 3 p.m. and at j Pareora In the evening. I The morning service in Chalmers Church will be conducted by the Rev. p. Gladstone Hughes. Mr E. C. J. Foot will conduct the evening service. The evening anthem will be "God is a Spirit." Miss Greta Grant will sing the solo, “Out of the Deep I Call” (Martin). A new heating system is now installed in the church. The services at Trinity Presbyterian Church to-morrow will be conducted bv Rev. A. J. H. Dow. The morning -\nthem will be "Hearken Unto Me. My people ” and the evening anthem. "Jesu, Lord of Life and Glory." The Young People’s Society will hold their monthly after-church supper following the evening service. The services in Banks Street Methodist Church to-morrow, both morning and evening, will be conducted by Rev. Harold T. Peat. The morning theme will be "The Beauty of the Lord.” and the evening subject "Our Modern Tendency to Neglect the Urgency of Religion.” The j choir will render an anthem. The services in Woodlands Street Church will be conducted by Mr J. E. Chiles and J tne Rev. P. I. Cooke. Visitors are cordially invited to all services. The Salvation Army local Corps will celebrate to-morrow its 47th anniversary with four great meetings, which will be conducted by Commandant Rimmer, from Christchurch. The Silver Band. Songsters and a.i sections of the Corps win assist. The services at St. Mary’s Church to-morrow will be Holy Communion at 8 a.m., family service with children's choir at 11 a.m.. Holy Communion at noon, and Evensong at 6.30 p.m. There will be the usual meeting for men after church, when the subject of discussion will be "Unemployment.” There will be celebrations of Holy Communion at St. John's at 8 a.m., St. Michael’s at 9.30 a.m., and St. Peter's at 11 a.m. Offerings throughout the parish to-morrow will be given to the Home Mission fund of the diocese. In response to many inquiries, the question of Spiritualism win be dealt with by the Rev. C. W. Duncumb at the Baptist Church, Wilson Street, tomorrow night. Written questions are invited. Tne subject of the morning ] address will be "Hanging the Cheque upon the Wall.’’ The Lord's Supper j will follow. The Rev. F. J. Shaw will preach at : both services in the Congregational Church to-morrow. The morning subject will be "Uncertainty's Value," and j the evening subject "An Army All ! Generals.” The choir will sing the j anthem "The Day is Gently Sinking j to a Close.” Co. .munion at the close of the evening service.
