CAMPBELL WINS HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP. By Telegraph—Press AsMcU-tlon. CHRISTCHURCH, April 28. Alan Campbell (12.9), of Oamaru, beat Jim Broadfoot (11.11), of Auckland, in a 15-rounds contest for the New Zealand heavyweight title. The bout went the full distance, but was not up to championship standard. Campbell easily outclassed the Auck-, lander, who weathered a heavy storm. Broadfoot should have been knocked out time and again, but Campbell had no knock-out punch.
