SUCCESS OF CANADIAN EXPERIMENT. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received April 28, 6.55 p.m.) MONTREAL, April 27. Canada to-day took a commanding lead in the scientific race, when a twoway telephone conversation between a moving train and the cities of the North American Continent and Great Britain was successfully accomplished. The train was the Canadian National Railways, Toronto to Montreal, travelling 334 miles in 360 minutes, calling for a speed of seventy miles per hour at times. The new system was demonstrated to a group of Canadian and American newspapermen. aixty calls were placedg from the speeding train, and the conversation was clear and distinct, like any other telephone conversation.

The process was perfected and manufactured by the chief engineer (Mr J. c. Burkholder) of the Canadian National Railways.
