WRESTLING
WALKER DEFEATS KHAN. By Telegraph—Press Association. GREYMOUTH, March 17. A wrestling contest between George Walker (13.2 J) and Ramzan Khan (12.10) went to the seventh round, when the decision went to Walker as the Indian, owing to abdominal injury, was not able to continue. In the first four rounds the Indian showed distinct superiority, haying Walker defending, most of the time. In the next two rounds, Walker showed greater stamina, and after the sixth round had gone more than half way he dumped the Indian hard to the mat and was awarded a fall. A few seconds after the seventh round began the Indian lay stretched on the mat when Walker got up, and the latter was declared the winner.
