PIONEERS IN POLAR EXPLORATION.
GEOGRAPHICAL SOCIETY’S AWARD. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received March 16, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, March 15. The Geographical Society has awarded the Patrons medal to M. C. E. Borchgrevink (Norv/egian explorer), for pioneer Antarctic expedition in 1898-1900, which was the first winter Antarctic travel on the Ross Barrier.
