NON-STOP DUNEDIN TO AUCKLAND. ATTEMPT TO-DAY. By Telegraph—Press Association. DUNEDIN, March 14. Piloting his Gipsy Moth ’plane, Captain J. D. Hewett arrived at Dunedin at 6.30 this evening from Wellington, the journey having taken exactly six hours. He will leave at daybreak to-morrow morning in an attempt to make a non-stop flight to Auckland, which he hopes to accomplish in about 10 hours. The flight will not be made on a direct airline, but the airman will fly via Christchurch, Wellington, Palmerston North, and thence over the King Country, following the general line of Main Trunk railways.
