HIGH TEMPERATURES RECORDED (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) SYDNEY, February 24. On Saturday, the temperature at 2.30 p.m. was 106.3 deg., the second highest February reading ever recorded in Sydney. The ' .'best, 107.8, was registered on February 8, 1926. Twenty country stations recorded over 100 degrees on Saturday, including Singleton 110. Muswellbrok 110, Moree 110, Meninde 108, and Bourke 107. A westerly wind brought great clouds of dust, causing much consternation in some places among children. . Lights were necessary early in the afternoon in Narromine.
