MEDICAL RESEARCH

NEW ZEALANDER'S GENEROUS GIFT. SYDNEY UNIVERSITY GRATEFUL. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received February 20, 1.10 a.m.) SYDNEY, February 19. News that a Fellowship in the Faculty of Medicine for research in spastic paralysis and allied subjects, is to be created at Sydney University, as the immediate outcome of the magnificent gift of £SOOO from Mr Lister Wilson, one of the proprietors of the "New Zealand Herald,” whose cheque reached the University Registrar to-day, was gratefully acknowledged. It is understood that Mr Wilson became interested and impressed by the work being done by Dr. Norman Royle, in connection with spastic paralysis during the past ten years. It is now possible that the Faculty of Medicine will recommend as a Fellow, a young medical practitioner, who will devote a fair proportion of time to research in this department.
