WORLD CHAMPION DEFEATED. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received February 19, 8.55 p.m.) LONDON, February 19. At the Albert Hall, the East-Ender Kid Berg defeated the Californian “Mushy" Callahan, in a fifteen rounds junior welter weight contest. Callahan returned in the tenth round with a broken nose. He had previously five times successfully defended the world title. His supporters, and also Bergs, contend that it was a championship light despite Callahan’s deposition prior to going to London.
