PAY-BAG RECOVERED.
A SOUTHLAND ROBBERY. By Telegraph—Press Association. INVERCARGILL, February 19. It was reported this evening that the bag containing the pay-roll for Moore’s sawmill at Longwood, which was stolen from a locomotive on Saturday last, had been recovered in the bush in the vicinity of the spot where it was believed to have been stolen. It was stated that a considerable sum of money was in the bag.
