SALVATION ARMY CONTROL.

Legal Position Arises. WRIT SERVED ON BOOTH EXECUTORS. (United Prese Association—By Electric Tel egr ash —Copyright.) LONDON, October 30. General E. J. Higgins’s writ to assume control of the Salvation Army’s property in Great Britain was yester-* day served on the late General Booth’s executors. The Salvation Army’s legal representative explains that the position is caused by a codicil General Booth added to his will, after the deposition, transferring the trusteeship of the Army’s property from his successor to his executors. Replying to allegations regarding the internal administration of the Salvation Army, General Higgins denies the existence of persecution or a vendetta. He declares that the present regime maintains the constitutional administration. He has, with the consent of the Solicitor-General, applied for a writ transferring from the late General Booth’s executors to himself, for administrative purposes on behalf of the Army, its trust property in Great Britain, which is worth £1,0Q0,000.
