CASUALTIES.
KNOCKED DOWN BY MOTOR. By Telegraph—Press Association. DUNEDIN, June 6. A married man named Thoma.. Hussey, aged 66, was admitted to hospital last evening suffering from a fractured arm. The injury was received through being knocked down .by a run-away motor car in Carroll Street. FATAL MOTOR ACCIDENT. By Telegraph—Proas Association. AUCKLAND, June 6. A fatal motoring accident occurred near Kaitaia yesterday afternoon, when an infant girl was killed, and several other people were injured. The little girl was Aileen Wood, two years old. Mrs Susan Jacentho, senr., of Peria, sustained severe injuries to the head and her condition is serious. Joseph Kirby (27) commercfial traveller, sustained injuries to the chest and minor injury to the arm. His condition is satrsfactofy. Others received minor injuries. The two vehicles, which were proceeding in oppoa'te directions, collided practically head on on Fairhurn Rond, about two miles from Kaitaia. One car, driven by Mr Kirbv, was proceeding in the direction of Kaitaia. Tt contained no passengers. The o+her ear. driven hv Mr Packard, contained four adults and two children, as well as the driver. The impact was very severe, and completelv upset Mr Packard’s car. pinning the passengers underneath.
