Claridge, on Saturday afternoon, won the 880 yards Wellington Centre championship in 12min 4 3-5 sec, as compared with the previous Centre record of 12min 28sec. C. E. Claridge swam from Wellington ferry wharf to Rona Bay today in fairly good conditions. This was the swim In which Webster failed.
