THE WEATHER.
Mr F. L. Wcoles. Wind, moderate to fresh north-east to south-east; weather somewhat unsettled, but fair conditions ruling. Dominion Meteorologist, Genera! situation.—The depression is passing away east of the South Island. Moderate to fresh winds, between south-west and west, gradually veering to north-west and northerly south of New Plymouth and East Cape. Weather—further scattered showers in Westland, and at first, in the southern districts; otherwise weather fair to fine, with warm temperatures.
