WEDDING

TAYLOR—INNES. At St. Peter s Church, Springfield, on Wednesday. Dorothy Gertrude, only daughter of Mr and Mrs R. limes, was married to Andrew Aitken, second son of Mr and Mrs W. Taylor, of Timaru. The Rev. Mr Moffati was the officiating clergyman, and Mrs Stanley Smith was organist. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a beautiful frock of shell pink crepe de ohene, with a floating side panel held in place with a rhinestone buckle. A coronet of orange blossom was worn with the pale pink tulle veil, and she carried a sheaf oi ! pink Easter lilies. Miss Mary Dorward and Miss Mary Taylor attended as bridesmaids, and wore pink and aiu mauve embroidered geoigette frocks respectively, with taffeta hats to tone, each with a large velvet flower beneath the brim. Thenbouquets matched their frocks, and they wore rhinestone necklaces set in platinum, tiie gilts of the bridegroom. Miss Olive Lapthorne was flower girl, wearing a beige georgette frock over pink lace, with band of pink and gold leaves round her head, and a gold basket of pink carnations, roses and maidenhair fern. Master lan Innes, brother of the bride, was page boy. Mr Stewart Blue (Timaru) was best man, and Mr R. Innes groomsman. After the ceremony, a reception was held in the hall, which, like the church, had been beautifully decorated by friends of the bride. Mrs Innes received the guests, wearing a smart truck of oyster grey crepe do chene, trimmed with blue, and blue felt hat, and carried a bouquet of blue flowers to tone. Mrs Taylor, mother of the bridegroom, wore a smart navy satin frock, trimmed with beige georgette, with hat to tone, and carried a bouquet of red roses and maidenhair fern. The bride and bridegroom left later by car en route for Wanganui and \Vaitomo Caves, the bride wearing a biscuit-coloured silk repp coat, with collar and cuffs of marabout over a lace frock, and felt hat to match.
