The disastrous effects of tlie long-drawn-out Argentine meat war, which was settled in November, 1927, is shown in the balance sheet of the Smithfield Argentine Mteat Company. For the year ending December 31. 1927, the trading ( loss was £112,737, following a loss of £137,982 in the previo-us-year.
