Lyon 141. and Hunt 87). O’Connor took 5 for 70. Somerset, in the second innings, made 54 for j. wicket. Somerset won by nine wickets. ... Derbyshire, in the first innings, madt'. till (Storcr 113). Ereeman took 6 for 71. in the second innings, they compiled 234 (Lee 100). Ashdown took 4 for 30 and Freeman 6 for 125. Kent, in the first innings, made .1511 (Evans 52). Worthington took 8 lor 41. In the second they maae> 290 for 4 wickets (Hurdingo not out 152 and Evans 55). Kent won by six wickets. Yorkshire, in the first innings, made 406 (Mitchell 73 and Leyland. 139), Fender look 6 for 116. In the second, they made 121 for one (Sutcliffe not out 71). Surrey, first, 45S (Sandham 66, Fender 177 and Jardino 157). Macaulay took 5 for 104. Surrey won on the first innings. Sussex, first innings, 347 (J. Parks 53, Cook 66 and "Weblcy 140). Ryan took 5 for 129. In the second innings, they made 115 for six (Langridge not out 56). Glamorgan, first innings, 75 Tate took 7 for 24. Glamorgan followed on and made 386 (Bates 54, D. Davies not out 126). Langridge took 4 for 68. Sussex won by four wickHampshire, in the first innings, scored 138. R. Tyldesloy took 6 for 41. In the second innings, they compiled 378 (Kennedy 128, Harfield 63, Boyes 68, and Mead 63). Lancashire, first, 363 (E. Tyldesley 115, lddon 62, Green 52 and. Hopwood 50). Newman took 8 for 131. In the second, they made 155 for 3 wickets (E. Tyldesley not out 80). Lancashire won by seven wickets.
Nottinghamshire compiled, in the first innings, 393 (WhysaJ.l 80, Carr 100 and A. Staples not out 84). Their second effort produced 246 for 5 wickets, when they declared. George Gunn made 55. West Indies, first innings, 378 (Bartlett 109, Hoad 73 and Nunes 62). Sam. Staples took 5 for 99. West Indies, in the second innings, made 85 for 0 (Constantine not out 67). The match was drawn.
For Northampshire, against Gloucester, Hammond made 62 and Mills , not out 53. Sinfield took 5 for 56. Gloucester won.
For Warwickshire, against Leicestershire, Wyatt made 82 and 102. For Leicester', Shipman made 104, Armstrong 81 and Sidwe'l not out 100. Skelding took 4 for 38. Leicester won.
