CLANDEBOYE.

(From Our Own Correspondent). The first practice shoot of the Aiiniature Rifle Club was he d on Wednesday evening. Possibles (35) were put on by R. AlcLeod, W. H. Stamland and J. Alaze, and the scoi’es put on by other members also showed that thei Club can expect a successful season. Eighteen members were present. The annual meeting of the Clandeboye Dancing Club was weil attended, i Air R. Taylor presided. The annuaf I report showed that the Club had had I a most successful season in the first, year of its existence. It was decided to carry on on similar lines this year. The opening night was fixed for Alonday, Alay 28. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows: —Chairman of Com—- • mittee, Mr R. Taylor; deputy-chair- | man, Air B. Pemberton; secretary, • Miss A. Liddle; committee, Alessrs A. , Simes, It. Pemberton, T. Langrell; Alesdamcs Hickey and Henderson and Misses Goodson and Hickey. A Harvest Home Ball, in aid of the hall funds, was held in the hall on Thursday evening. The committee had left- no stone unturned to make the function a success, and their efforts ! were well repaid. The hall had been ! appropriately decorated for the occas--1 ion with sheaves of grain, greenery and-'multi-coloured streamers. Excellent dance music was supplied by Airs Mangel’s orchestra. The Grand Alarch was led otf by Mr A. Heer (secretary) and Miss Wollwood. During the evening, extras were contributed by Miss Hickey and Mr C. Kelland. Air Heer thanked those present lor their attendance and support, and said that the credit balance resulting from the entertainment would be Used to effect further improvements to the hall. lhe duties of Al.C.’s were carried out by Mr A. Mackie and Air S. Parke.
