' GISBORNE, July 4.'J A verdict that death was due to suffocation but that that there was nothing to show how suffocation was brought about was given by the Coroner at the inquest this morning on the infant son. 16 hours old, of Mr and Mrs George Nelson.. . : y
CAR ACCIDENTS. By Telegraph—Press Association. ' gisborne; July 4.-; A motor accident Is reported from Morere. " . J: A car driven by T. Osmond somersaulted four times over Shaw's HiJl at the Hairpin bend. The car was smashed. The driver had a miraculous escape.,. At Manutake two cars went into a ditch, one turning a complete somersault. ' 1 - A bey, Jack Wrandle, one of the occupants, wss pinned underneath, bnt escaped injury, v -!- Mrs Pearson, an occupant of the other car, was badly cut about the eye. Both cars were damaged.
DEATH IN HOSPITAL. ’ - By Telegraph—Press Association i WELLINGTON, July 4.’.. Edgar Millsv a single man, agedf 54, died while undergoing an operation at Wellington hospital, to-day. ' An inquest will be held. -
