Hut sad to say, Charles Tu'lier did not live to- enjoy the fruit of his labours; he had to end his days i'ti a wretched flat in Paris. But just before his death several South American States sent him £4,000, as they had benefited by his invention. When lie received it lie said, “it is too late for me, give it to my lame son.” Has this a parallel in 1927 f —l am etc., MARK SAUNDERS.
