Wilson, S.M., Elsie Machm was fined £2O and costs £6 4s, tor keeping liquor for sale in a no-license area. Security for an appeal was fixed at £LS 15s. - LIQUOR IN ASHBURTON. At the; Magistrate’s Court, Margaret Scott, aged 85, was lined £xo lor -sellr iny liquor in a no-license area, " and 10s (the Amount of costs), for keeping liquor for sale. James Oliver Scott, her son, was sentenced to three months hard for. keeping liquor for sale. A similar charge against Archibald John Templeman was dismissed, but the latter pleaded guilty to . being an idle and disorderly . person, and .was ordered to come up for sentence in twelve months, coudiuonaL on his leaving town forthwith.
