FARMERS’ EXCURSION.

OTAGO TO LINCOLN. By Telegraph—Press Association. OAMARU, April 8. To enable the farmers of Otago an<? Southland to visit Canterbury, and particularly Lincoln Agricultural College, the Railway Department proposes running an excursion to Christchurch and Lincoln early in May, if sufficient inducement offers. The train will start from Winton and go through to Christchurch iU one day, stopping at intermediate stations lor passengers. The train will run from Christchurch to Lincoln and back the following day. The third clay would be available for farmers to visit Addington saleyards. farms, and n'aces of interest in and around Christchurch, and the return journey would bo made on tlie fourth day. The proposal came before a meeting of the North Otago Agricultural and Pastoral Association to-day, and met with warm support.
