The opening practice of the Celtic Football Club will take place on Anzac Square, to-day, at 3 p.m. All members and intending members are requested to be present. ... On Monday night in Wesley Hall, Maori chiefs and ladies will render waiatas, karangas, poi dances, and hakas, intermingled with Maori oratory, and ant explanations of Maori life by Rev. A. J. Seamen. There will be musical items by Maori players on violin, banjo, mandolin, and Spanish guitar, and vocal solos. A bright little girl of the party is named Te Whetumaramaoteata (the bright star of the morriing). A tug-of-war will be held at the bazaar in. aid of St. Mary’s Church. Pleasant Point, from April 16 to April 20. Entries close on April 12. An error, for which the “Follies” management were not responsible, caused a little annoyance at the Theatre doors on Thursday night. Half prices for children were arranged for the 4/- and 3/- seats, but an advertisement stated that the reduction ruled for 2/- seats, and caused some disappointment to a few children.
