RELIEF MEASURES. By Telegraph—Pres* Association. AUCKLAND, April 6. The Board of Education had a lengthy discussion on the excess of teachers seeking employment, it being stated f hnt there were in the district 137 who do not hold permanent positions, while teachers from other provinces were Hocking to Auckland. The Board agreed to recommend the Department that superannuated teachers be not employed without special permission from the Board or Executive, and that a. clause be inserted in the Fdncotion Act giving the Boards discretional power in matters of employing married teachers.
