RECIPROCITY TALKED IN U.S.A. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. WASHINGTON, March Iff. There is a strong revival of rile so called reciprocity talk between Canada and tiie United States. This has occurred as a result of a speech by Mr Mackenzie King recently, suggesting a possible reciprocal tariff arrangement between the two countries in exchange of natural products. It is pointed out, however, that while tli e American Government might favour such an understanding as President Taft did in J9II, it would provoke strong opposition in Congress, and probably load to timber political complications with the farm blow in both House and Senate. It is further stressed that in view of the fact that Canada defeated the project in 1911, Canada would be compelled to show stuinger evidence of a desire for reciprocity before the matter could be advanced to any extent.
