KAITANGATA MINES.
PROSPECT OF RE-OPENING

It is authoritatively stated that an option over-the Kaitangata mines, raiiwav lime, freehold and leases, p ant machinery has been secured from rue English Company by Mr John G. Ned, of Dunedin. The Orepuki shale wo'rks are not included in the option. It is intended to at once float a strongly capitalised compr.v to acquire this option, and to re-open the mines almost immediately. Arrangements have been made whereby the money for the miners’ back wages will be available as soon as the proposed company goes to allotment. This news iis stimulating in more ways than one. It gives firm hope of restoring Kaitaugata.
