VISIT TO SOUTH CANTERBURY.
BY MINISTER OF EDUCATION. By Telegraph—Press Association, WELLINGTON, March 17. A fairly extensive tour of inspection to various South Island schools will be undertaken by the Minister of Education next Aveek. The Minister will leave Wellington on Monday night for Christchurch. On Tuesday Lo will visit the primary ancl secondary schools in Ashburton, and the Geraldine District High School, proceeding thence to Timaru. A visit will Oe paid to' the Timaru schools on Wednesday n crn-. ing. In the afternoon, the Hon. R A. Wright Avill open a new engine ti mg building of the* inchmeal school Thursday Avill be occupied with a visit to Oamaru primary and Waitaki High Schools. After visiting Otago and Southland, the Minister toll leave Dunedin, on Monday, April 4 for Timaru, inspecting the Waimate District High School cn route.
