BUYERS KEEN AT AUCKLAND. " l By Telegraph—Press Association. AUCKLAND, March 17. The third Auckland wool sale, held to-night, Avas the best oi the season, prices shoAving from one penny to lfu advance on the second sale in February. There was a representative, bench ot buyers, and competition for best classes of Avooi avus very keen. Most or the avool went to Bradford, and good judges of avoo! stated, that, considering the class of Avooi offered, tlu sale Avas one of Dio best held in New Zealand this season. Owing to the lateness of the season, much of the avool amis seedy. Practically the Avhole of the catalogue of 8000 bales was sold. A feature "was the keeness of buyers, no doubt due to the fact that the New Zealand season is nearing an end, and buyers have their quotas to fill. No range of prices is available tonight. At next Napier sale, there are only eight hundred bales to be sold. When this avus announced at the sale hero to-night, seven buyers said they .would go to the sale, but fifteen other buyers said* they Avoukl not go unless the offering exceeded a thousand bales. Mr H. Milnes, chairman of the Woolbuyers Association, stated that the Association could not stop a sale or prevent members from attending.
