MEETING OF DIRECTORS. A meeting of the Board of Directors of the Girls’ Hostel was held in the Y.AV.C.A. rooms on Alarcli Bth. Those present were—Airs Alelville Jameson (in the chair), Alesdames Rhodes, Turnbull, Unwin, Turner, Burns, Alisses Elwortliy, Pringle, and the honorary secretary, Airs Jfinsor. Accounts were passed for payment. The resignation of Air C. B. King from the position of honorary treasurer was received with regret. Air A. C. Alartin, has kindly consented to fill) the office. ' Aliss Ella AlcNcil, general secretary to the Y.AALC.A. China, will be passiing through Timaru on April 12th., and it was decided to see if she would give an address here on the work ,of the Y.AV.C.A. in China. It was proposed by Airs Rhodes, and seconded by Airs Turnbull, that All's Jameson, Airs Burns, Airs Alinifie, and Aliss Pringle form a Finance Committee to supervise all acoounts and expenditures. It was made clear that money subscribed for the building of a Girls’ Hostel is set aside for that purpose only, and the present expenses of the temporary rooms will be met with money raised by garden parties, vawous other entertainments, and donations specially given for carrying on. The committee expressed gratitude to Air AVilliam Evans, who has already given the buildin gsite, and has now given the building site, and has now with a promise of still more assistance in the future.
