THE RIALTO. H. Allchurch and Co. report for the week ended Saturday, January 8, 19 27. At our weekly Rialto sale on Friday, we had a fair entry of poultry and pigs, and prices were as follows: —• Poultry.—Hens, heavy 6/6 to 6/9, others 5/3, cockerels 5/6, roosters 2/6 to 4/6, all at per pair; chicks 3d to 4d each. A line of pullets (chicks) realised 3/- to 3/1 each. Pigs.—Weaners 20/-, 21/-, 22/-, 23/6 and 24/-, slips 24/6, 25/-, 26/-, 26/6, 27/9 and 35/- each. Produce —Wheat 23/- to 27/-, oats 16/-, bacon rolls 1/1 per lb, new potatoes Id to 12d per lb, honey (bulk) 6d per lb, green peas 2d to 2Jd per lb, onions to 18/6 per cental. ""Fruit.— Strawberries 1/- to 1/4 per pottle, cherries lid to 1/4 per lb, tomatoes (Christchurch hothouse) 9Jd to 1/21, Nelson hothouse 1/- per lb, Apricots 7ld per lb, peaches 4d per .lb, raspberries 8d per lb, loganberries to 8d per lb, plums 21d to 3d per lb, black currants 4d to 6d,, -red currats 4d. Consignmeiits of fruit are now arriving daily. . Eggs.—The supply of South Canterbury Circle eggs is still fairly, steady, viz., 1/8 per dozen. ' The' market has a rising tendency. : Household furniture and effects.— : On Friday at our rooms, we disposed of a fair quantity of household furniture and effects at satisfactory, prices.' THE RIALTO, TEMUKA. A. H. Fenn submits the following sales for week ending January 11: ■ Poultry.—Good entry.
