In the Magistrate’s Court, twq young men were charged with assaulting anu robbing Tom San Wong Too, on December 12,. 1925. Both pleaded guilty, and were committed to the Supreme Court at Auckland. Tho evidence disclosed that the accused went to Rotorua, on a motor cycle, with the intention 'of robbing a Chinaman, selecting the.ir victim after examining scvei-aL premises. . The statement of the accused, and the evidence of tho Chinaman were the same, save for a slight difference in the amount of the plunder. The capture was the result of a quarrel with lady friends, who gave them away.
