PERSONAL.

Mr John Hardcastle has gone to Dunedin for a short holiday. Mr W. R. Hayaes, of Christchurch was in Timaru yesterday. Mr H. E. Watson, of Christchurch, is at present on a visit to Timaru. Mr J. Macdonald, (rate collector to the Christchurch City Council), is at present visiting Timaru. Mr L. C. Andrew and W. B. Andrew junior, left for Nelson yesterday. Sir Robert and Lady Stout celebrated their golden wedding on Boxing Dav. The condition of Mr J. Aythorne, who was injured in Timaru. as the result of a collision with a motor car a few days ago is satisfactory though he is still in the Public Hospital . A message from London says that the Duke and Duchess of York have returned to London from Sandringham to complete preparations. The Duke of York, accompanied by the Prince of Wales, will visit Windsor for a final shoot before his departure.
