LABOUR UNREST.
ENGINEERS ON STRIKE. By Cable—Prcaa Association—Copyright Australian and N.Z. Cable Association SYDNEY, October 12. Arising out of a disputo over the alleged employment of boy labour on machine drills, the engineers at the Dobson, Wormald Company have struck. Pickets posted outside tbc works reported to the Labour Council’s Disputes Committee that Maltose »nd Greeks had been engaged by the management, contending that this was done for the purpose of breaking the strike. Tho rest of the union: members employed by the firm have been withdrawn. Tho Disputes Committee proposes to appoint an organiser, who is capable of speaking to foreigners in their own language, to represent the position to them.
