MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. j i The fortnightly meeting of the. Management Committee of the South Canterbury Hockey Association was held in Mr'Wood’s office last night. Present—Rev. H. Goring (chairman)', Messrs J. Anderson, G. Hughes, R. Worthington, Misses C. Hutt, P. Flett, L. O’Brien, L. Quested, Mrs Me- ] Bratney, and the secretary (Mr W. Gow). An apology for absence was received from Mr a. Stead. Correspondence was received from Mr L. Bennington, Geraldine Hockey Club, Milford Club, New .Zealand Hockey Association, and Southland Hockey Association. i A.'.voto of; thanks' was" passed to Mr , Bennington for his donation to the' | Association. Milford Club were granted permis- I sion to change the name of their club to Temuka Hockey Club. It was decided to support the Southland Hockey Association’s application to hold the New Zealand tournament at Invercargill.

The secretary stated that he had made all arrangements for the South Canterbury v. Geraldine County match on June 3rd; also, acting on the advice of the selector, he had forwarded H. Goring’s nomination for the New Zealand team to play in the test match against the Indian Army team. Mr Goring was granted permission to play, for the Geraldine Club in their match against the Indian team on Thursday, 17th June. TRIAL MATCH. The undermentioned players will represent South Canterbury v. Geraldine County Sub-Association, on Juno 3rd, at 9.30 a.m. . on the Park ground;— Goal, F. Cowles; backs, W. Gow, Rev. li. G. Goring; halves, L. Davis, J. E. Anderson. A. Goodman; forwards, G. Laurie, J. Tavener, A. Stead, G. Hughes, A. Quartermain. Emergencies; Forwai-ds, Laurie, Moulton; backs, Schrader, Symes. (Players are requested to be on th« ground at 9 a.m. sharp.)' Geraldine (v. South Canterbury).— Craig, Voss, Rawstorn. Bryant. Callanan, Maitland, Butterfield, E. Brown, Prouting, Moyle, Turner.
