In the Senate, the Foreign Minister (M. Vaudervelcle) said that one of his aims was to expand Belgium’s foreign trade. At present there was no question of a do jure recognition of the Soviet, but there might 'he commercial recognition, if possible without hardship to those most vitally interested.
