Telegraph revenue amounted to £450,489, against £372,992 in the first quarter of 1925. , (These figures include £231,543 from telephone exchanges, compared with £107,411 a year ago). Savings bank deposits for the same period amounted to £7.333,543, but tho withdrawals ‘exceed this by £70.184. A year ago the deposits were £7,540,802 more than the withdrawals in tho March quarter. 25,854 accounts won opened and d 8,887 elosed, while a. real previously the figures respectively were 27,430 and 17,405.
