The death is announced of Sir Harry Allen, formerly Dean of the Medical Faculty of the Melbourne University, aged 72 years. G. B. STARICY. News lias been received in Christchurch that Mr George Bayntun Starky, for many years a well-known figure in the Amberley district, died in England on March 21. The late Air Starky was born in Wiltshire, England, in 1858, and was educated at Marlborough. lie arrived at Lyttelton in 1881, and took up his residence at Amberley. Deceased was a fine typo of sportsman, bluff and outspoken, a man who observed the highest traditions of racing.
