COPRRIGHT OF SPIRIT
“THE CHRONICLE OF CLEOPHAS” By Cable —Press Association—Copyright. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association, . LONDON, March 28. Spiritualists crowded the Chancery Court, in which Mr Justice Eve heard a motion raising a novel point—the copyright of a spirit communication. Miss Cummins, .daughter of a Court physician, jdescribed as an . automatic medium, sought to restrain Bligh Bond, a psychic worker of world-wide reputation, from.publishing the chronicle of Cleophas. Both claimed the authorship of the script, which purports to be a continuation of the. Acts of the Apostles. Miss Cummins claims that she Produced the chronicle in a trance. Bond.asserts that his hand rested on Miss Cummins’s and therefore the chronicle was the result of his psychic co-operation. Counsel explained that the first article was an interesting addition to the story of Ananias and Sapphira. Mr Justice Eve asked whether tho automatic writing was in English or Greek, and was informed that the chapter concerning Ananias was in Miss Cunrtnins’s handwriting. The case was adjourned.
